$3 Billion divided by $150,000/job = 20,000 jobs… So, why doesn’t New York start a $3B Venture Capital Firm instead of investing in the Amazon deal. i.e. Invest the $3B in NY startups to either compete with amazon, start a cloud(s), maybe a NY based Uber(s), Googles ext, twitter ext… Yammer successfully cloned FB and sold to Microsoft for $1.6b in 2012, I’m sure with 3B NY could clone many Silicon Valley or Seattle based technology companies…
