Obama signed the “Countering Disinformation And Propaganda Act” into law December 2016.  So after reading the act, I’m starting to think this might be the stepping stones to nation wide censorship, similar to china iron curtain.

Free speech vs Fake news is a old but interesting dilemma that goes back to the founding of America, Benjamin Franklin started out as a newspaper publisher, and had printed many fake news articles on purpose, he would write fiction to make a point, or to slander political rivals, and sell more papers on slow news days. Franklin also engaged in Espionage and counterespionage, during the revolutionary war, in addition to anti-counterfeiting money systems. The pen is mightier then the sword, indeed.
